Tension Revealed by the Film

What sources of tension, new and old, in the Middle East are revealed by the film?
In the movie, the sources of tension comes from Qaddafi wanting to kill the people of Banghazi, oil, and the US using military support to help the people trying to overthrow Qaddafi. Why did Qaddafi want to kill all those people in Banghazi? Do we really know who we are supporting?
Throughout the movie, Aljazeera talk showed us some tension between us and Libya. We were helping the rebel cause to overthrow Qaddafi, but it also said that we may not know who we are helping. Foreign fighters went into Iraq and Afghanistan killing American soldiers. Did we really consider this before we helped the rebels? Also, when they were using the weapons -- testing them and sending them randomly into the sky, isn’t that a waste? Considering that it’s our weapons, that we could be using. But with that being said, against all odds, I think it was the smart thing to do. We don't want another dictator in Libya, and neither do the people. By helping them it will help us get a chance for another Allie instead of another murderer. We have to start somewhere and if it means helping another country in their time in need, then we would want someone to do the same. Helping them isn't a bad thing, it will help us build stronger relationships with countries to again, regain the pride a glory that America once was apart of. It isn't about the control, it's about having someone to help you up when you fall. ★May God Bless America★
